OBJECTIVE:

Transition from identifying the VALUES for your Eden to selecting and prioritizing the ELEMENTS that could bring these values to life and create an action plan for taking the next steps to design your perfect Eden.

INSTRUCTIONS:

This activity is outlined on INSTRUCTION CARD #10 of The Design Your Eden Card Deck

1. START WITH A VALUE: Write down, sketch, or take a picture of one of the VALUE Cards from either of your WANT or HAVE stacks (Reference Activity #2: VALUES & VISION).

2. CONNECT THE ELEMENTS: Sort through the ELEMENT cards in your WANT & HAVE stacks (See Activity #1: ELEMENTAL FOUNDATIONS) one at a time and select all of the cards that could possibly bring this specific VALUE to life in your outdoor space.

3. DOCUMENT: Write down & rank each selected ELEMENT Card by its potential impact on expressing that specific VALUE.

Tip: Take your time with each card. Reflecting on your personal values and how they tie to your space is a critical part of creating your Eden.

4. REPEAT: Repeat this process with each VALUE Card in your deck then proceed to the next activity: YOUR EDEN’S MANIFESTO.
